ABOUT MIKE COSFORD

Mike Cosford is a freelance media artist based in the UK, just outside of London. With a longstanding career, his work encompasses storyboarding, illustration, location design, VR and conceptual art. He has collaborated with a huge range of clients locally and globally, from Cartoon Network to Ernst Young.

Mike began his career as a cartoonist then worked predominantly in airbrush illustration in the realms of advertising, publishing and animation. He was commissioned to work on music videos and conceptual art for the likes of Grace Jones, Queen and Pink Floyd, amongst other artists. He also worked on visuals for an array of advertising campaigns which were broadcast on primetime television, featuring his storyboards, background art and illustrated concepts for a number of mainstream products and services.

Mike’s focus on storyboarding, location design and visualisation remains a large part of his practice today – with clients utilising his creative approach to problem-solving and turning solution business processes into “layperson’s” visuals. This highly sought-after method enables brands to envisage their ethos and ideas to a wider, more accessible market – something Michael has always been passionate about sharing in his work.
